We feel strongly about helping the older adults in our community thrive and we have a variety of outreach efforts to encourage and promote this positivity in our community. We do this through sponsoring programs for older adults and volunteering our time to promote the strengthening of the older adult community here in Arlington County and Fairfax County. Technology Education
We believe in eliminating barriers for older adults to remain independent. Technology is advancing at a very fast pace and the alternatives for older adults to engage or use technology to age in place continue to grow. There are a lot of options and one size does not fit all.
We have extensive experience educating very complex topics in a very simple way, such that our audience leaves the class retaining more about the topics. The goal is to help older adults and their families make more informed decisions by giving them the right information and guiding them on how to obtain further information when making a decision.
We offer these classes free of charge at local community centers in Arlington County, Fairfax County, Fairfax City and Reston. Our introductory class is entitled, Care At Home Technology 101, no prior experience or knowledge of technology is required for this class, in fact its preferred. This class introduces you to the various types of technologies available to assist you and offers you a chance to use a tablet technology. A simple, fun and interactive class.
